Dragon Boat Festival, 2021
The annual traditional Chinese festival Duānwǔ Jié (Dragon Boat Festival) falls on June 14 this year.

The Dragon Boat Festival, also known as (Duanwu Festival, Duānwǔ Jié, Double Fifth, lung Ng Jit), is a traditional Chinese festival with a history of thousands of years. To commemorate the famous Chinese poet Qu Yuan. This festival is on the fifth day of the fifth month of the Chinese lunar calendar.
Every Dragon Boat Festival, we will pack rice dumplings(zongzi) and race dragon boats. Making zongzi is usually done by a family. It is an interesting group activity. Different places have different eating habits and there are various types of zongzi. Generally, the northern area likes sweet zongzi, while the southern area is mostly salty zongzi.
Dragon boat racing is a traditional water sport. People from different villages and regions form different teams. Each team rowed a boat to see who could row faster. Dragon boat racing is a highly ornamental activity. Each dragon boat has colorful patterns on it, and the bow is in the shape of a traditional totem "dragon". When it comes to dragon boat racing, the shore is always full to watch. People are very lively. In Xiamen, the dragon boat race is held every year in the Dragon Boat Pool Scenic Area, which is an annual event.

In Guangxi, people also collect different herbs and boil them into potions for bathing, which is good for health.
